Vitae Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Forex Dealer to join our client’s growing team in Limassol. This onsite role is integral to the firm’s daily trading operations and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, professional trading environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing foreign exchange transactions on behalf of clients and/or the firm, managing market risk, delivering competitive pricing, and ensuring efficient and compliant trade execution in line with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies. This role requires strong market awareness, disciplined risk management, and the ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Execution & Pricing
- Execute spot, forward, swap, and (where applicable) FX option transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide real-time pricing and quotes to clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage order flow across multiple currency pairs and liquidity providers.
- Monitor execution quality, including slippage, spreads, and fill ratios.
Market Monitoring & Analysis
- Continuously monitor global FX markets, economic data releases, geopolitical developments, and central bank activity.
- Analyse market conditions and volatility to adapt pricing and execution strategies accordingly.
- Provide market commentary, insights, and trading support to internal teams when required.
Risk Management
- Manage intraday and overnight trading positions within approved risk limits.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate market, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
- Escalate limit breaches, unusual trading activity, or market disruptions promptly.
- Work closely with risk management and compliance teams to ensure full adherence to internal policies.
Client & Sales Support
- Support sales teams with pricing, execution strategies, and trade structuring.
- Assist with the onboarding of new clients from a trading and dealing perspective.
- Handle trade-related inquiries, amendments, cancellations, and post-trade issues in a professional manner.
Systems & Operations
- Operate and manage trading platforms such as MT4/MT5, proprietary systems, ECNs, and liquidity aggregators.
- Ensure all trades are accurately booked, confirmed, and reconciled.
- Liaise with middle and back-office teams to resolve trade discrepancies or operational issues.
- Participate in testing, enhancements, and implementation of new trading tools and systems.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all trading activity complies with applicable regulatory requirements and best-execution standards.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of trades, pricing decisions, and communications.
- Participate in audits, reviews, and ongoing compliance training as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven experience as an FX Dealer, Trader, or in a similar role within a bank, brokerage, or financial institution
- Strong understanding of financial markets and FX trading instruments
- Experience using electronic trading platforms and pricing engines
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to FX trading
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and professional attitude
Preferred / Advantageous:
- Experience in high-volume flow environments or emerging markets
- Exposure to algorithmic or automated FX execution
- Experience working with liquidity providers and prime brokers
