Vitae Recruitment is seeking a skilled Platform Administrator on behalf of our client, a leading player in the Forex trading industry. Based in Limassol, Cyprus, our client offers cutting-edge trading platforms, a robust client base, and a steadfast commitment to regulatory compliance and technological innovation. This is a permanent onsite position ideal for individuals with a strong background in trading platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations and integrity of their trading infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will be responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and monitoring of trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4/5, cTrader, and/or proprietary systems. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of trading services while supporting the needs of internal stakeholders and external clients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the support and improvement of the company’s overall IT infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain trading platforms (e.g., MT4/MT5, cTrader).
- Manage server infrastructure, including real-time monitoring, updates, and failover procedures.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between trading platforms, liquidity providers, and back-office systems.
- Handle user account setup, permissions, and troubleshooting for traders and internal teams.
- Conduct regular platform health checks, apply patches, and manage software upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance teams to implement best practices and support audits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related incidents and outages in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support and documentation for internal departments and end-users.
- Monitor trade flow, execution quality, and platform latency.
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
Key Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in platform administration within the Forex or broader financial services sector.
- Hands-on experience with MT4/MT5, including server and manager configuration.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol, API integrations, and bridge/gateway technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and server administration (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with monitoring tools and trading platform analytics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications in IT platforms management will be considered an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cTrader, OneZero, PrimeXM, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Exposure to regulatory environments (CySEC, FCA, etc.).
