    Senior Systems Administrator - Limassol

    We are currently seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator to join our client's team in Limassol, Cyprus. In this role you will own and manage the company’s internal IT infrastructure, identity systems, software platforms, networking environment, and endpoint security. This is a senior operational role responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimization of all internal systems, including Active Directory, collaboration tools, communication systems (VoIP), virtual servers, networking equipment, and employee hardware. You will act as the primary administrator and gatekeeper of company systems, ensuring secure access control, operational continuity, cost efficiency, and structured IT governance across the organization. The role demands a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems within the company.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Infrastructure & Identity Management

    • Set up, configure, and maintain Active Directory and Domain Controllers.
    • Manage user accounts, group policies, and access controls.
    • Maintain virtual machines and internal servers.
    • Ensure system patching, updates, and hardening.
    • Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes.

    Application & Access Administration

    • Administer and manage all internally used software platforms and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and other SaaS systems).
    • Oversee user provisioning, de-provisioning, and permission management across all business applications.
    • Enforce role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles.
    • Conduct periodic access reviews and audits.
    • Manage software licenses, renewals, subscriptions, and vendor payments.
    • Monitor and optimize system usage, access structures, and cost efficiency.
    • Act as the primary administrative owner of internal tools, ensuring stability, security, and proper configuration.

    Network & Security Management

    • Maintain and configure firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN connections.
    • Monitor and manage DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP configurations.
    • Implement endpoint security standards for Windows and macOS devices.
    • Monitor system logs and respond to potential security incidents.
    • Enforce secure onboarding and offboarding procedures.
    • Apply cybersecurity best practices across infrastructure and applications.

    Communication & VoIP Systems

    • Ensure the stability and functionality of communication systems (VoIP, PBX, SIP trunking).
    • Monitor call quality and performance.
    • Troubleshoot telephony and network-related issues.
    • Coordinate with telecom providers when required.

    IT Operations & Asset Management

    • Manage IT asset inventory (laptops, peripherals, networking equipment).
    • Assign and track equipment across teams.
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware purchases.
    • Oversee procurement and vendor relationships.
    • Manage hardware lifecycle planning and replacement strategy.
    • Provide hands-on technical support when necessary.
    • Maintain clear IT documentation and operational procedures.

    Key Attributes: 

    • 6+ years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Operations.
    • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Domain Controllers.
    • Strong experience managing SaaS environments and collaboration tools.
    • Experience supporting Windows and macOS endpoints.
    • Experience managing VoIP or PBX communication systems.
    • Experience working in multi-location or distributed environments is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, firewall configuration).
    • Strong grasp of identity and access management principles.
    • Experience with virtual machines and server maintenance.
    • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and system hardening.
    • Experience managing software licensing and vendor relationships.
    • Familiarity with structured IT service processes (ITSM/ITIL) is a plus.
    • Security-conscious and risk-aware.
    • Highly organized and process-driven.
    • Strong ownership mentality.
    • Cost-aware and optimization-focused.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
    • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
